Carol Gardner

Carol Gardner is an author of narrative history whose books include The Involuntary American: A Scottish Prisoner’s Journey to the New World (2019) and Divided North: Black & White Families in the Age of Slavery (2025).[1][4] She has also been identified as a writer with a PhD in English and experience in communications, journalism, writing, and editing.[4]
