Carlos Bueno
Carlos Bueno was a draftsman, painter, and muralist who co-founded Self-Help Graphics & Art and helped launch the Chicano art movement in the 1970s.[1] Born in Cuernavaca, Mexico, he lived in the United States during the 1970s, co-founded Los Angeles' annual Día de los Muertos celebration with photographer Antonio Ibañez, and returned to Mexico later in life.[1] He died on August 18, 2001, in Mazatlan, Mexico, shortly after a solo exhibit.[1]
