Carla Emery
Carla Emery (born Carlotta Louise Harshbarger) was an American writer and encyclopedist best known for *The Encyclopedia of Country Living*. She was a prominent advocate of self-sufficiency, organic gardening, and the back-to-the-land movement, and she also founded the School of Country Living in Idaho.
