Carel Weight
Carel Victor Morlais Weight (1908–1997) was a distinguished English painter known for his thematically complex, imaginative landscapes and portraits that often feature idiosyncratic perspectives and a sinister undercurrent. He served as an Official War Artist during World War II and later became a professor of painting at the Royal College of Art, where he taught from 1947 until his retirement in 1973.
