Cardinal Warde
Cardinal Warde is a Barbadian-American physicist and professor of electrical engineering and computer science at MIT, renowned for his pioneering work in optoelectronics, optical information processing, and MEMS displays. Born in Christ Church, Barbados, he earned his BSc from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1969 and MPhil (1971) and PhD (1974) in physics from Yale University, later founding Optron Systems in 1982 and co-founding Radiant Images in 1999. He holds numerous patents, serves as scientific advisor to the Government of Barbados, and directs the MITES program.
