Candace Fleming

Candace Fleming is an American author of more than fifty books for children and young adults, specializing in historical biographies and fiction. Born in Michigan City, Indiana, she discovered her passion for storytelling early and has become a critically acclaimed writer whose works have won numerous awards including the Sibert Medal, Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, and Los Angeles Times Book Prize. She lives in suburban Chicago and is known for combining her love of stories, musical language, history, and reading in her diverse body of work.
