C. McCormick
Chris McCormick is an American author born in 1987 and raised on the California side of the Mojave Desert. He is best known for his debut novel *The Gimmicks* (2020), a New York Times Editors' Choice, and his short story collection *Desert Boys* (2016), which won the 2017 Stonewall Book Award. He holds a BA from UC Berkeley and an MFA from the University of Michigan, and currently teaches creative writing at Minnesota State University in Mankato.
