C Jinarajadasa

Curuppumullage Jinarajadasa (1875-1953) was a Sri Lankan scholar, author, and occultist who served as the fourth President of the Theosophical Society from 1945 to 1953. An accomplished linguist and prolific writer, he published over 50 books and 1,600 articles, and spent fifty years as an international lecturer speaking fluently in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Sinhalese, and Tamil. His wide-ranging interests encompassed religion, philosophy, literature, art, science, and occult chemistry.
