C J Stevens

C. J. Stevens (Clysle Julius Stevens) was an American poet, author, and translator born in Smithfield, Maine, who published over 30 books spanning poetry, short stories, non-fiction, and biography. He published his first poem at age 13 in a Maine newspaper and later served in the U.S. Army, with his literary works including The Uncertain Cartographer and The Supernatural Side of Maine. His poetry and writings are held in a special collection at the U.S. Library of Congress.
