Byron Barton
Byron Barton (1930–2023) was an American writer and illustrator of children's picture books whose works received six ALA Notable Book Awards and two Reading Rainbow picks. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he moved to Los Angeles as a child where he developed his artistic interests, later working as an ad designer and artist before transitioning to children's book illustration. His best-known titles include Airport, Building a House, Dinosaurs Dinosaurs, and the My Car, My Bus, My Bike, and My House series.
