Dr. Miriam Schmidts is a Clinical Fellow and Group Leader at the Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany, where she also holds an ERC starting grant.[1][2] She completed her medical studies from 1998 to 2005 at the University of Freiburg and earned her Dr. med. in 2005 with a magna cum laude doctoral thesis on Hereditary Nephrotic Syndromes.[6] Her research focuses on rare disease genetics in pediatrics, with over 113 scholarly articles.[1][7]
