Vincent Willem van Gogh (1890-1978) was the nephew of the famous painter Vincent van Gogh, born in Paris as the son of Theo van Gogh and Jo Bonger. He studied mechanical engineering at Delft University from 1907-1914, worked as an engineer in France, the United States, and Japan, and later co-founded one of the first management consultancies in the Netherlands with Ernst Hijmans. After 1945, he dedicated himself to preserving and publicizing his uncle's art collection, establishing the Vincent van Gogh Foundation and facilitating the creation of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.[1][2]
