by Eben Upton and Gareth Halfacree
Eben Upton is a British engineer, co-founder and CEO of Raspberry Pi Trading Ltd., and founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, which he established in 2009 to promote computer science education through affordable single-board computers.[1][3][4] Motivated by declining interest in computer science among students during his time as Director of Studies at St John’s College, Cambridge (2004–2007), he developed the Raspberry Pi to inspire coding and computing skills in schools and beyond.[1][3] He previously worked as a technical director and ASIC architect at Broadcom.[4]
