Chris Kyle was a United States Navy SEAL sniper who served four combat tours in Iraq from 2003 to 2008, earning a reputation as the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history with over 160 confirmed kills. His autobiography 'American Sniper,' co-authored with Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice, became a New York Times bestseller and was adapted into a major film directed by Clint Eastwood. Kyle was murdered at a Texas gun range in 2013 while helping veterans.
