Brunonia Barry

Brunonia Barry, born Sandra Brunonia Barry in 1950 in Salem, Massachusetts, and raised in Marblehead, is a New York Times bestselling author known for novels like The Lace Reader, The Map of True Places, and The Fifth Petal. She self-published her debut The Lace Reader in 2007 before it was acquired by HarperCollins and became an international bestseller, and with her husband Gary Ward, she founded the game and puzzle software company SmartGames. Barry has received awards including the International Women’s Fiction Festival’s Baccante Award and lives in Salem, Massachusetts.
