Bruce Weigl

Bruce Weigl is an American contemporary poet born in Lorain, Ohio, in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, an experience that profoundly shaped his poetry and memoir writing, and he has published more than a dozen books of poetry as well as translations and essays. He has taught at several colleges and universities, including Lorain County Community College, where he became Distinguished Professor.
