Brimhall

Traci Brimhall is a professor of creative writing at Kansas State University, the 2022-2026 Poet Laureate of Kansas, and the 2025 Guggenheim Poet-in-Residence. She is the author of five poetry collections, including Love Prodigal (2024) and Come the Slumberless to the Land of Nod (2020), winner of the Barnard Women Poets Prize, with her nonfiction debut The Grief Artist forthcoming in 2026. Her work, blending the ordinary and surreal, has appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, and other major publications.[1][2][3]
