Brian Steel Wills
Brian Steel Wills is a professor of history and director of the Center for the Study of the Civil War Era at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. He is a prolific author of Civil War scholarship, particularly noted for his award-winning biographies of Union General George H. Thomas and Confederate General William Dorsey Pender. Wills earned his PhD from Rice University in 1966, with a dissertation on Richmond during the Civil War.
