Brian Freemantle
Brian Freemantle (1936–2024) was an English journalist turned thriller and non-fiction writer, best known for creating the spy series character Charlie Muffin. Born in Southampton, he wrote dozens of novels and worked as foreign editor for the Daily Mail before becoming a full-time author in 1975.
