Brent Davis

Brent Davis is a Canadian academic born and raised in northern Alberta, where he taught secondary school mathematics and science through most of the 1980s. After completing graduate studies in the mid-1990s, he held positions at universities including UBC, York University, the University of Alberta (as Canada Research Chair in Mathematics Education), and currently serves as Werklund Research Professor at the University of Calgary, focusing on mathematics education, cognitive sciences, and complexity sciences. He has authored or co-authored five books and published in prestigious journals such as Science, Harvard Educational Review, and Journal for Research in Mathematics Education.
