Brenda Leifso

Brenda Leifso is a Canadian poet whose work has been published in magazines and anthologies across Canada, with her first book Daughters of Men released by Brick Books in 2008 and her latest collection The Work (Gaspereau Press) a finalist for the 2024 Governor General’s Literary Awards.[1][2][3] She holds an MFA from UBC's School of Creative Writing (2005), has won the Banff Centre Bliss Carman Poetry Award, and serves as CFO and COO at Brick Books, Canada's premier poetry publisher.[1][2][3][5] Leifso has taught yoga for over 20 years as a certified Relax and Renew® Level One Teacher and has been a writer-in-residence.[2]
