Brand Blanshard
Brand Blanshard (1892–1987) was an American philosopher and the foremost proponent of rationalism in the 20th century, known for his "vindication of reason against recent philosophical attacks."[1][3] He taught at Swarthmore College and Yale University, where he served as chairman of the philosophy department, and was praised as "the philosopher's philosopher" for his significant contributions to philosophical thought.[2][4]
