Boubacar Barry

Boubacar Barry is a Senegalese professor of modern and contemporary history at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, born in 1943 in Guinea.[1] He received the 2014 Distinguished Africanist Award from the African Studies Association and was selected as the 2016 honorary foreign member of the American Historical Association.[1][2] Barry has supervised UNESCO-funded projects on West African regional integration and is working on a study of francophone West Africa in the 20th century.[2]
