Boris Pasternak

Boris Leonidovich Pasternak (1890–1960) was a renowned Russian and Soviet poet, novelist, and literary translator, best known for his novel Doctor Zhivago. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1958 but declined it due to intense opposition from the Soviet Union. Pasternak is considered one of Russia's greatest post-revolutionary poets, with notable works including My Sister, Life and The Second Birth.
