Bob Gregson

Bob Gregson, born Robert Gregson in Heskin, Lancashire in 1778, was a bare-knuckle fighter known as “The Lancashire Giant” and “The Poet of the Prize Ring.” He later became a ferry captain, pub owner, bookmaker, fight promoter, and poet; he died in Liverpool in November 1824. [1]
