Bloomsbury Publishing is a British publishing house founded in 1986 by Nigel Newton, who conceived the idea in 1984 while on leave from Sidgwick & Jackson to create an independent publisher focused on editorial excellence, originality, and high-quality literary authors.[1][3] Headquartered in London with offices in New York, New Delhi, Sydney, and elsewhere, it publishes books, digital content, and academic resources across fiction, non-fiction, and children's literature.[2][3]
