Birgit Brock-Utne

Birgit Brock-Utne (born 1938) is a Norwegian academic renowned for her work in education, feminism, and peace studies, with a focus on international and African contexts. She earned Ph.D.s in education and political science from the University of Oslo, taught peace education extensively, and authored key books like 'Educating for Peace: A Feminist Perspective' (1985) and 'Whose Education For All? The Recolonization of the African Mind' (2000). She has lectured globally, including in Korea, Japan, the US, and Austria, and runs consultancies and research projects on education in Africa.
