Birgit Arrhenius

Birgit Arrhenius (born Birgit Klein) was a Swedish archaeologist and professor at Stockholm University, where she served as the first head of the Archaeological Research Laboratory. She specialized in studying ancient sites like Helgö and Mälaren, as well as prehistoric metal arts such as pressblech and cloisonné. A member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, she received the Gösta Berg Medal in 1992 for her contributions.
