Billy Childish

Billy Childish, born Steven John Hamper (also known as William Charlie Hamper) on December 1, 1959, in Chatham, Kent, England, is a prolific English painter, author, poet, musician, and filmmaker known for his introspective, autobiographical work across multiple disciplines[3][4]. He co-founded the Medway Poets literary movement, established the Stuckist art movement, and founded the Hangman Records label, having published over 40 poetry collections, 3–5 novels, recorded over 100 albums, and created more than 2,500 paintings[3][6][7].
