Bill Hayes
William Brooke Hayes, known as Bill Hayes, is an American non-fiction writer and photographer born in 1961. He has authored five books including Sleep Demons, Five Quarts, The Anatomist, Insomniac City, and Sweat, and is a frequent contributor to The New York Times. Hayes was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in nonfiction and is the partner of neurologist Oliver Sacks until Sacks' death in 2015.
