Bill Gates

William Henry Gates III is an American businessman, philanthropist, and pioneer of the microcomputer revolution who co-founded Microsoft Corporation in 1975 with Paul Allen, leading it to become the world's largest software company.[3][1] He served as CEO until 2000, then focused on philanthropy through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which he co-founded that year.[1][2] Gates has also founded ventures like Breakthrough Energy to address climate change and received honors including the Presidential Medal of Freedom.[3]
