Bhagavan Das
Bhagavan Das (born Kermit Michael Riggs) is an American yogi, bhakti yogi, kirtan singer, spiritual teacher and writer who lived for six years in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. He was the first Western initiate of Hindu saint Neem Karoli Baba and famously guided Ram Dass (Dr. Richard Alpert) to his guru. He is known for his ecstatic performances of traditional and non-traditional Indian bhajans and kirtans, and has authored an autobiography.
