Beverly Joubert
Beverly Joubert is a world-renowned filmmaker, wildlife photographer, and conservationist born in Johannesburg, South Africa, who has collaborated with her husband Dereck Joubert for over three decades on National Geographic projects.[1][2][4] Together, they have produced over 30 award-winning films including *Eye of the Leopard* and *Eternal Enemies*, published more than a dozen books, and founded conservation initiatives like the Big Cats Initiative and Great Plains Foundation, managing over 1.5 million acres of African wilderness.[1][3] In 2017, she survived severe injuries from a buffalo goring while working in the field.[1]
