Betty Rowlands
Betty Rowlands (1923–2020), born Kathleen Elizabeth Howard in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, was a British author renowned for her cosy crime mystery novels set in the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire, featuring series like Melissa Craig and Sukey Reynolds.[1][2] She married Bert Jenner in 1942 (divorced 1957) and later Len Rowlands in 1966, and was the granddaughter of Sir Ebenezer Howard.[1][2] Rowlands lived in the Cotswolds before moving to Bristol, where she passed away peacefully shortly before her 97th birthday.[1][3][5]
