Betty J. Eadie
Betty J. Eadie (born 1942) is an American author best known for her 1992 New York Times bestseller *Embraced by the Light*, which recounts her profound near-death experience in 1973 following surgery.[1][2][3] Born to a full-blooded Lakota Sioux mother in Valentine, Nebraska, she spent her early childhood on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, later trained as a hypnotherapist, and founded Onjinjinkta Enterprises.[3][4] Mother of eight, she has authored several books on spirituality and near-death experiences and continues to share her insights through speaking engagements.[2][3]
