Bertram Huppert

Bertram Huppert (1927–2023) was a German mathematician specializing in group theory and the representation theory of finite groups. He was the author of influential textbooks such as Endliche Gruppen (Finite Groups) and left a lasting academic legacy through more than 50 doctoral descendants.
