Bernette Ford

Bernette Ford (1950–2021) was an American author, editor, and publisher renowned for her trailblazing work in children's literature and advocacy for diversity. She served as editor-in-chief at Grosset & Dunlap and vice president at Scholastic Books, where she launched the Cartwheel imprint, before founding Color-Bridge Books in 2003 to package books by creators of color.
