Benson Cooke

Dr. Benson G. Cooke is a Distinguished Professor of Counseling and Psychology at the University of the District of Columbia, specializing in culturally competent mental health treatment, transgenerational trauma, epigenomics, and African-centered wellness for the Black/African American community.[1][2][4] He holds a B.A. from Morehouse College and M.S. and Ed.D. degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has a distinguished career in psychology, counseling, teaching, writing, and motivational speaking.[3][5] Cooke serves as Director of the Graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and leads innovative initiatives promoting systemic change.[2][4]
