Benjamin C. Sax
Benjamin C. Sax was a Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Kansas who specialized in European intellectual and cultural history, including the Renaissance, Reformation, and autobiography. He earned his PhD in European history from the University of Chicago in 1978 and taught at Kansas from 1979 until his retirement in 2015. At the time of his death, he was completing his final book, Critical Ontology and Cultural History, which explores how key philosophical texts create moral meaning.
