Belva Plain
Belva Plain (1915–2010) was a best-selling American author of mainstream fiction who graduated from Barnard College with a degree in history. She published her first novel, Evergreen, at age 62 in 1978, which became a New York Times bestseller and was adapted into an NBC miniseries. Over her career, she wrote more than 20 novels, selling over 30 million copies in 22 languages.
