Beatrice Merz

Beatrice Merz is an Italian arts professional, publisher, and director who founded the publishing house hopefulmonster in 1986. She serves as President and Director of Contemporary Art at Fondazione Merz in Turin, Italy, established in 2015 to honor her parents, Arte Povera artists Mario and Marisa Merz, and is also President of the twin Swiss Merz Foundation and the Mario Merz Prize since 2013. Additionally, she leads projects like the new arts centre in Palermo to engage communities with contemporary art.
