Barry Stevens
Barry Stevens (1902–1985) was an American writer and Gestalt therapist who developed her own form of Gestalt therapy focused on body awareness processes. She was a key figure in the Human Potential Movement of the 1970s, though she rejected stardom, and is best known for her books 'Don't Push the River,' co-authored 'Person to Person' with Carl Rogers, and 'Burst Out Laughing.' Fritz Perls described her as a 'natural born therapist,' and she was involved in Perls's Gestalt Kibbutz at Cowichan Lake, British Columbia.
