Barry Keith Grant

Barry Keith Grant is a Canadian-American film scholar, critic, author, and editor, best known for his extensive work on film genres including science fiction, horror, musicals, and popular cinema. He earned his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1975 and has been a faculty member at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, since 1975, where he is now Professor Emeritus of Film Studies and Popular Culture. Grant has authored or edited over 40 books and more than 100 essays, shaping the field of film studies, and is an Elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
