Baron Byron, George Gordon Byron
George Gordon Byron, 6th Baron Byron (1788–1824), known as Lord Byron, was a leading English Romantic poet celebrated for works such as "Childe Harold's Pilgrimage" and "Don Juan." Famous for both his literary brilliance and his scandalous private life, he became a hero of the Greek War of Independence and died in Missolonghi, Greece.
