Barbara Stoler Miller

Barbara Stoler Miller (1940–1993) was an American scholar and leading translator of Sanskrit literature, especially known for her influential translation of the Bhagavad Gita. She taught at Barnard College, Columbia University, where she served as chair of the Asian and Middle Eastern Cultures Department and became a prominent figure in Indian literary studies in the United States.
