Barbara Ryden

Barbara Sue Ryden is an American astrophysicist and Professor of Astronomy at Ohio State University, where she has been on the faculty since 1992.[1] Her research focuses on the formation, alignment, shapes of galaxies, the large-scale structure of the universe, cosmology, dark energy, dark matter, and primordial density fluctuations.[1] She is internationally known for her textbook Introduction to Cosmology, which won the Chambliss Astronomical Writing Award in 2006, and co-authored Foundations of Astrophysics.[1]
