Barbara Reynolds

Eva Mary Barbara Reynolds (1914–2015) was an English scholar of Italian studies, lexicographer, and translator, best known for her work on Dante, including translations of 'La Vita Nuova' and completing Dorothy L. Sayers's 'Paradise', as well as editing the Cambridge Italian Dictionary. She was a close friend of Sayers, authored her biography 'Dorothy L. Sayers: Her Life and Soul', and served as president of the Dorothy L. Sayers Society. Reynolds also wrote biographies of Dante and Petrarch, and was honored by Italy for her contributions to Italian literature.
