Barbara Greene

Barbara Greene (1907–1991) was born in Brazil to an English father and a German mother and was educated at Sidcot School in Somerset. After an expedition to Liberia, she married Count Rudolf Strachwitz and later divided her time between Bavaria and Gozo, Malta, where she helped the handicapped; she also wrote several books, including an account of her Liberia journey.
