Barbara Garland Polikoff
Barbara Garland Polikoff (1929–) is an American author known for novels, children's fiction, and biographies. She earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1950 and an M.A. from the University of Chicago in 1952, worked as a teacher and associate editor before becoming a full-time writer, and received awards including the Carl Sandburg Award for her novel Life's a Funny Proposition, Horatio.
