Barbara Day
Barbara Day (born 1944) is a British theater scholar and writer who studied drama at the University of Manchester and specialized in Czech theater and underground culture. She worked extensively with theaters in London and Bristol, organized the Bristol Czechfest in 1985, and documented the Czech theater scene in her book The Velvet Philosophers. She has been awarded the Order of the British Empire and received a memorial medal from Czech President Václav Havel for her cultural work.
